The Chitauri Invasion of Earth – Origins, and Independent Sources

The Chitauri Takeover of Earth. The idea that reptilian beings have controlled humanity for millennia has many faces. One of them is the story of the Chitauri – an ancient, shape-shifting species said to be pulling the strings behind the scenes. But where does this story originate, who spread it, and what independent sources exist alongside the well-known names?

1. The Origin: Credo Mutwa and African Tradition

Credo Vusamazulu Mutwa (1921–2020) was a South African sangoma – a traditional healer and storyteller. He is the original source of the Chitauri narrative.

  • According to Mutwa, the name “Chitauri” derives from the Shona language and means “the speakers” or “the guardians of the great serpent” .
  • Mutwa described the Chitauri as a reptilian species that has lived on Earth for thousands of years, initially ruling openly before retreating underground to manipulate humanity from there .
  • Mutwa connected the Chitauri to specific locations: Great Zimbabwe, the Drakensberg Mountains, and ancient gold mines in South Africa and Zimbabwe .

Mutwa himself did not view his accounts as “conspiracy theory” but rather as part of a transmitted knowledge about power, oppression, and the loss of indigenous sovereignty .

2. The Dissemination: David Icke and the “Reptilian Agenda”

British author David Icke met Mutwa in the 1990s and brought the Chitauri narrative to an international audience. Icke integrated it into his own world model, which posits a global reptilian elite controlling humanity through secret societies, royal bloodlines, and financial institutions .

Together, Icke and Mutwa released materials such as The Reptilian Agenda, in which the Chitauri are portrayed as the true puppet masters behind the scenes of global politics .

Icke is thus the popularizer, not the origin, of the narrative. He lifted Mutwa’s accounts from their original cultural context and embedded them into a global conspiracy framework .

3. Independent Sources Beyond Mutwa and Icke

Beyond Mutwa and Icke, there exist additional, independent narrative strands that describe similar scenarios – without using the term “Chitauri.”

a) Alex Collier – Contacts with the Andromedans

American Alex Collier emerged in the 1990s as a “contactee.” He claims to have had telepathic and physical contact with humanoid beings from the Andromeda constellation.

Collier’s central thesis:

  • A hostile alliance of extraterrestrial races has controlled humanity for eons.
  • This alliance includes reptilian beings from the Alpha Draconis system, the Orion Group, and the Greys from Zeta Reticuli .
  • These beings use war, religion, and social structures as tools of control .

b) Phil Schneider and the Dulce Base Incident

Phil Schneider (1954–1996) claimed to have worked as a geologist and blasting engineer for the U.S. government. His central allegation:

  • A 2.5-mile-deep underground base with seven levels exists in Dulce, New Mexico (the Dulce Underground Base).
  • In 1979, during tunnel construction, a shootout occurred with extraterrestrial beings (so-called “Large Greys”).
  • 66 U.S. personnel died; Schneider survived but was severely injured.

Schneider also spoke of a Greada Treaty (1954) , in which the U.S. government allegedly allowed aliens to conduct limited experiments on humans in exchange for technology – an agreement later broken .

Schneider was found dead in his apartment in January 1996, strangled with a piano wire. In conspiracy circles, his death is regarded as a targeted elimination.

c) The Serpo Project

The Serpo Project is an alleged exchange program between the U.S. government and extraterrestrials from the planet Serpo in the Zeta Reticuli system.

  • In 2005, an anonymous source within the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) began publishing detailed information on Serpo.org .
  • According to these leaks, two UFOs crashed at Roswell in 1947 ; one extraterrestrial survived (referred to as “EBE” – Extraterrestrial Biological Entity).
  • In 1965, 12 U.S. military personnel traveled to the planet Serpo; eight returned in 1978, two died, and two chose to remain there .

The authenticity of the Serpo leaks is highly disputed. Some researchers suspect a disinformation campaign, possibly involving Richard Doty (AFOSI), who was known for circulating forged UFO documents in the 1980s .

4. Conclusion

The Chitauri narrative originated with Credo Mutwa, was brought to international attention by David Icke, and was later fictionalized by Mark Millar for Marvel Comics.

Independently of this, parallel narrative strands (Collier, Dulce/Schneider, Serpo) exist, describing similar scenarios of covert extraterrestrial or subterranean control without using the term “Chitauri.”

What all these sources share is that they elude scientific verification and rely on personal testimonies, anonymous leaks, and oral traditions – making them for some authentic revelations, and for others modern myths.
