The Tuya Neon-Strip is not a lamp replacement, that’s for sure. Thanks to its uniform light, it is particularly suitable for indirect, background lighting or effects.

The colors are an experience

An experience – yes, but that’s not quite what we mean. The color selection buttons provide an approximate color, but this often doesn’t match your imagination. If I select white, for example, I get a light blue light that is a little reminiscent of UV light from a disco 😁

The strip is very flexible and can be stuck to the wall in curves – for example as wall unit lighting, a border or as indirect additional lighting for kitchen units. In my case, it lies on the floor, in the corner between the floor and the wall, as can also be seen in the video.

Smart Live

Smart Live is the app you use to control your Neon-Strip. You also need to use the Smart Live app for integration with Home Assistant – alternatively, the Tuya app also works. Which app you use is up to your personal taste, it makes no difference.

Adding the Neon Strip is easy: the Strip is usually automatically offered for installation. If this is not the case, plug the strip in and out three times in succession – this activates the connection mode and you can then install the strip.
