WARNING: New wave of bank fraud – including DKB Bank
As soon as you have created a post dealing with the changes at banks, here comes my WARNING: New wave of bank fraud! A vicious circle …
*** ATTENTION – IMPORTANT – GENERAL ***
Never open a link in an e-mail! Not even if the sender seems absolutely trustworthy – even your partner could have been hacked!
Instead, go directly to the sender’s official website via your Internet browser, log in there and check whether the message or the matter in question is also listed there.

This time it starts with BW Bank. I receive an email saying that my account has been restricted – and that I need to act urgently, otherwise it could be blocked!
☝️ In practice, “restricted” in online banking means: blocked.
Well, I don’t have an account with BW Bank – to be precise: no account at all with a German bank. But okay.
In the middle of the email you’ll find the “Secure access now” button. If you take a closer look at the link behind it, you’ll quickly see that it doesn’t lead to BW Bank, but to a completely different Internet address.
https://sdu.%k/r&jZ
(Do not call this address, I have also made it invalid)
Which is not necessarily to be equated with BW Bank, even if the pages look like it.

The second thing I want to mention is another scam email – also from today – that I want to include as many here in Thailand use DKB Bank.
In this email, too, the link does not lead to the official DKB website, but is hidden behind a fake Internet address.
Here too, the website looks like the real DKB website.
So: wooden eyes, be vigilant!
I know that older people in particular often find it difficult to understand all this. But even if you don’t quite understand it:
☝️ Never open a link in an e-mail!
No matter how trustworthy the sender appears.
Just do it this way – for the sake of your safety. 🙏🙏🙏
