Bitaxe overheating Noctua NF-A4x10 cooler?
Bitaxe overheating Noctua NF-A4x10 cooler. Does converting to the Noctua NF-A4x10 help, or is it useless? Here are the facts.
A common problem with the Bitaxe Miner BM series is cooling. While one miner runs stably, the other overheats. In my experience, about one in three miners is affected by this.
Usually, you lower the voltage by one level. This reduces the yield slightly, but the miner stays cool and runs reliably.
However, if you don’t address the problem and fix it, the miner automatically throttles performance to a minimum – and the yield drops to almost zero.
In the video, I show you how to convert a Bitaxe Gamma 6.01 to the recommended cooler/fan. But does this conversion really make a difference? You’ll find out exactly that in the video.

Note/Addendum
In the video, the Noctua cooler comes across somewhat poorly—almost as if the cooler or fan were useless. That is, of course, not true. So I would like to clarify: The Noctua NF-A4x10 is a very high-quality fan that also impresses with its scope of delivery and accessories. I have never had a better fan in my hands.
However, it is simply not powerful enough for use in the Bitaxe Miner to completely solve the cooling problems.
