Transfer Android cell phone directly, with Smart Switch. Photos, contacts, settings, etc. It’s that simple.

To transfer your phone data with Samsung Smart Switch, first open the Smart Switch app on both devices. If the app is not pre-installed on your old phone, you can download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Then connect the two devices to each other – either wirelessly via Wi-Fi or wired with a USB cable (with an adapter if required).

Select “Send data” on the old device and “Receive data” on your new phone. Then specify the type of device you are transferring from, for example Android, iPhone or Windows Phone. Smart Switch will now show you an overview of the data you can transfer – including contacts, photos, messages, apps and device settings. Select what you want to transfer and then start the transfer. Depending on the amount of data, this process can take up to several hours.

Once the transfer is complete, you will receive a confirmation on your new phone. You can then check all your transferred data and use your new device as usual.
