There are many YouTube videos about the myth iCloud activation unlock. Is it possible to unlock an iPhone? Fake or not?

It is important to know the basics:

• From around iOS 17.1, Apple has made changes to iOS to close these gaps.
• There is the “unlock” to unlock the phone in iOS, and the bypass that bypasses the lock.
• With an iOS end lock, the iPhone remains updateable and can be re-registered/activated. You must follow the instructions.
• A bypass sets the device to the firmware under which the bypass was set, and loses the bypass during an update and the iCloud lock is active again. Tools are sold that do this.
• Since all relevant data for the iCloud lock is stored at Apple, only a bypass can work – theoretically.
